Survey Launched: Breeders and Growers Tell Us What Research You Need

The CAPITALISE project has launched a Stakeholder Survey aimed at crop breeders and growers. We are super keen to catch as many views from across Europe as possible to get a good understanding of how public funding can be best allocated to meet industry needs. The results from this survey will feed into a Research Roadmap to help direct future EC decision making on funding research and innovation (R&I) to develop more climate resilient crops.

The survey will explore the current breeding goals targeted by breeders and compare these with the crop improvement priorities of growers. The survey also investigates the benefits and potential barriers of R&I collaborations between industry and academics/public researchers. This includes routes to facilitate more effective and faster translation of research into industry crop breeding programmes. Aligned to the priorities of the CAPITALISE project, the focus will be on abiotic stress resilience and breeding for more efficient photosynthesis.

The survey is available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.   If you have links to breeders and growers please direct them to our survey.  Breeder/Grower Survey – CAPITALISE  If you would like to know more about the survey please contact:  louisa.dever@ceratium.eu
